BATTLE OF THE BANDS CONTESTANTS
Get to Know the Bands

Almost Famous
The Almost Famous Band is a fun group of 6 "young at heart" guys that love bringing joy to others through live music. Rock, country, folk, pop, and more. The Almost Famous Band is happy to perform and from time to time, put a new spin on things. More importantly, the band's mission is to get your feet tapping and put a smile on your face

Los Syringa
As an ode to the Idaho state flower, 5 friends named their band Los Syringas. While each member has a unique taste in music, the result is a forced fusion of Surf Rock, Latin, and Pop Jazz. Influences have a range between Los Amigos Invisibles all the way to Sigur Rós. The five piece group started jamming together the summer of 2019 and released their first single "Satellite" the summer of 2021. The band consists of Josué (vocals/guitar), Josh (keys), Pearson (lead guitar), Shawn (bass), and Luke (drums).

Pinwheels
Pinwheels is an elusive indie rock project in Boise driven by Sam de Luna, an avid songwriter whose creative output exists on a precarious line between catchy and eccentric. Embracing the "do-it-yourself" philosophy of his influences, Sam wrote, arranged, recorded, and produced everything for Pinwheels. In 2024, Sam began collaborating with other talented musicians, all collectively excited to translate Pinwheels to a fresh, live setting.

Right Shoes
Right Shoes has a musical affinity for lively melodies and delivers an unyielding intensity to the final resonating power chord. Since 2019, Shua, Levi, and the Ryans craft catchy riffs and hooks to deliver their stories on identity crises, unexpected loss, hopeless love, and other perspectives on their own human experience.
About The Cause
Our target for this event is to raise $50,000. The donations will be used to produce our Connector Program. An educational video training program to be used online, in schools, churches, or communities to show the power of connection, as well as practical skills, as a means of preventing suicide and addiction. Remaining donations will be used for mental wellness community events, developing online resources, and future video training programs. Connection is the Cure is run by volunteers and 100% of donations goes back to the program and events.
T-shirts will be available for purchase the night of the event.
